Krista Clark Adds She's glad for the opportunity to volunteer and share her skills. "Proper and swift treatment after an injury can make all the difference in a person's livelihood. I recently saw a woman, a self-employed housekeeper, who had fallen off a stool while cleaning a mirror. While she badly injured her shoulder, three treatments made her pain and strength improve so she was able to continue working and supporting her family". Krista encourages other physical therapists in the area to join PHC's volunteer corps. Learn more about volunteering Link to Wellspring

PHC To Occupy Portion of New Summit County Health Department Building
The People's Health Clinic appreciates our collaboration with Summit County and Intermountain Health Care, which will provide us with a permanent home. PHC will occupy 5,000 square feet of the new building, which is slated to be completed in late 2009. The photo above shows the entryway and the wing that will house PHC. Our new home will allow us to extend our hours and expand services. A long-term planning process is underway to determine what additional community health services will be offered in the new facility. Click here to see |
Dr. Geoff Tabin Combines Two Passions and Does a World of Good An early love of mountaineering coupled with his interest in ophthalmology led Geoff Tabin to combine two passions into a fascinating and busy life. Dr. Tabin MD is Professor of Ophthalmology at the Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah and cofounder of the Himalayan Cataract Project, which for over 20 years has worked to eliminate blindness in the developing world. Tabin, a Park City resident, sees patients during our Thursday Chronic Disease Clinics once a month. People with Diabetes are at risk for many complications, including eye diseases that cause severe vision loss and even blindness. "At People's Health I see problems related to lack of eye care as well as the results of high blood pressure and diabetes. I diagnose and arrange for surgery including cataracts and diabetic pathologies. I provide free reading glasses for those who are unable to afford them. The population I see has a great need for diagnoses and care of their eye conditions and complaints. It is my privilege as part of the Park City community to provide this care to my neighbors in need." Read about Dr. Tabin's overseas work here |
